EEHA 3-Day Refresher
Targeted Learners
Licensed electricians who already hold the units of competency for installing and inspecting electrical equipment in hazardous areas and wish to refresh their knowledge. You will upgrade to the new units of competency (explosive gas atmospheres, explosive dust atmospheres and underground coal mines).
Competency Description
Upon completing these units of competency, the learner will be deemed competent to supervise the selection, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and testing of explosion-protected equipment and systems to control and monitor plants and processes.
These competencies provide working with explosion-protection techniques, including Ex d, Ex e, Ex i, Ex m, Ex n, Ex o, Ex p, Ex s and Ex t within explosive gas and explosive dust atmospheres.
Course Entry Requirements
UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
OR
A current ‘unrestricted electricians licence’ or it’s equivalent issued in an Australian state or territory
AND
Prior attainment of the units of competency for installing, maintaining, and inspecting within the last four or five years
A candidate seeking assessment in these units shall have been deemed competent to inspect electrical installations in a non-hazardous area at AQF level 3 or NZQF level 4 or higher.
Course Duration
This is an intense three-day (27 hours) refresher upgrade course and face-to-face Training and Assessment delivered from our training room. Cost A$1,500 (GST not applicable).

Course Outcome
Learners who successfully complete the training and assessment requirements will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the relevant units of competency.
